After making three tackles and breaking up a pass in the first quarter, San Francisco 49ers rookie linebacker Reuben Foster’s NFL debut was off to a fantastic start.
But after getting his leg twisted awkwardly while trying to make a tackle, the first-round pick out of Alabama was carted off the field:
The good news for 49ers fans? Foster is already back on the sideline:
The 49ers traded back into the first round to take Foster, who was widely regarded as a top-10 talent who tumbled in the draft due to injury concerns. Hopefully, San Francisco dodges a bullet here.
